    Cinnamon Baked Pears

When you call upon @erin_martian to figure out something to do with those boring old pears you buy every time but then never actually want to eat. Bet you wanna eat em now huh?

    Cinnamon Baked Pears
    2 pears
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. honey/maple syrup
    3 TB walnuts
    Optional:
    4 tsp. natural yogurt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Cut the pears in half. Using a tablespoon scoop out the seeds of each half. Fill with walnuts and drizzle about half a tsp. of honey over each half. Finish them off with a few dashes of cinnamon. Serve with yogurt.

Pears are my favorite fruit to work with in the fall. A rich spiced cheesecake, or a pear crumble is a substantial and comforting dessert at any dinner party. These cinnamon baked pears are a very easy and quick alternative. I love that they offer a more health conscious option while not sacrificing flavor or ingredient integrity. The few simple ingredients work with one another to create a clean and delicious dessert. This sweet treat also happens to be gluten free without calling for any substances or additives like gluten free flour or xanthan gum, which is convenient because those products can get pricey. If you are vegan you can substitute maple syrup for honey. If you are serving a large group, bake them off in a large baking pan. This recipe would be delicious with apples or sweet potatoes, or butternut squash as well. Use your nut of choice, add granola for texture, or top with ice cream if you would like to indulge!
